What do I need for a website?.

1. A Domain name.
This is the website address that your internet visitors will use to find your website. Your email will also use the same domain name.

2. A website Hosting service.
This is where your website will reside to be accessed 24 hours a day.

3. A Website.
We will construct your website and upload it to the Hosting service.

4. Search Engine Submission.
This will allow your website to be found in the search engines when a visitor uses certain search words or phrases.

We will take care of all of the above for you.

If you do not need a website - perhaps you already have one hosted on your ISP server - we can still register a personalised domain and email service for you. Your new domain name will simply point to your existing website but give a more professional image. Of course, where we are constructing a website for you, part of our service will be to register any domains required.

Jargon!

Unlike many websites, we do not assume that you understand Internet jargon. We have tried to explain it for you in plain English. If the following is still unclear, please call us for further explanation.

A simple guide to Domain names and email.

We can register your business name as your Domain name. You will have email addresses using the same domain name.

i.e. if your business is called "Business" then
you may be able to register the domain www.Business.com and that will be the address visitors use to see your website. Your Email address would be personal.name@Business.com but you can also create additional email addresses such as anything@Business.com .

How Much Does a Domain Cost?

Less than 20p a week! The fees for a domain are from £9.99 per year including administration. The minimum registration period for a .com domain is 1 year and for a .co.uk domain is 2 years.

If you wish, administration can be transferred to yourself or a third party at any time subject to all fees having been paid.

More Examples.

We can register your Personal name as your Domain name. You may have a choice of Internet suffix. You will also have email addresses using the same domain name.

i.e. if your domain is www.yourname.co.uk then your Email address could be personalname@yourname.co.uk.

Examples:

Tony Niceman.

Tony Niceman registers Niceman as his domain. He chooses the suffix com (but he could choose something else if he wanted to).

So his website address is www.niceman.com and his email address is tony@niceman.com. His email is redirected to his AOL internet service so he still collects it with his AOL email. If he changes to BT for his Internet service, his tony@niceman.com email will be redirected to his BT internet service. So he then collects it with his BT email. He does not need to inform anyone about the change, he will still receive his email even though he has changed his internet service.

Additionally, all of his family can have their own separate email addresses, wendy@niceman.com , ken@niceman.com , etc.

Lucy Goodgirl.

Lucy Goodgirl lives at 33 Rich Lane. She registers 33RichLane as her domain. She chooses the suffix .net (but she could choose something else if she wanted to).

So her website address is www.33richlane.net and her email address is lucy@33RichLane.net or she could use lucy.goodgirl@33RichLane.net (in fact she could use both if she wanted to). And just like Tony, her family can have their own separate email addresses and all collected with their usual Internet service email.

Subject to availability, your domain will be registered in your chosen name and becomes YOUR property for as long as the fees continue to be paid.

Your domain can be administered by us or, if you prefer, you can administer it yourself.
