What do I need for a website?.

1. A Domain name.

2. A website Hosting service.
This is where your website will reside to be accessed 24 hours a day.

3. A Website.

4. Search Engine Submission.
This will allow your website to be found in the search engines when a visitor uses certain search words or phrases.

5. Pay-per-Click advertising.
The Google pay-per-click advertising campaign is now probably the best available. The Google Network reaches more than 80% of Internet users. No other Internet network comes even close. We can help you increase qualified traffic to your website. Google AdWords ads appear on Google and partner sites such as AOL® and Ask Jeeves®. You can target your ads by locations including countries or regions.

First, you need a domain name. This will include email addresses but it is just a name to be able to identify you from the millions of other websites on the Internet. Your domain name will be pointed to whatever host you use.

Next, you need a host. This is where you store your website once it is constructed. It is a computer permanently connected to the Internet. It will have a number of backup systems in case of failure and it will also have a power generator to keep it powered in the event of a power failure. Hosting can be free, paid for with numerous advertisements placed on your website. For a professional look we recommend a paid host costing from £60 to £120 a year depending upon the level of service needed for your website. We can offer a cheaper a alternative using shared hosting if you only have a very small website.

Then, you need the website constructed. We can offer a range of more than 3500 website designs. Once ready, it will be uploaded onto your host.

Finally, you need to advertise on the search engines so that your website can be found! The days of successful free advertising have now, sadly, gone and payment is usually based on the search word(s) that you wish to attach your website to and the number of times the website is viewed. We recommend the use of Google search engine with cost per viewing from 4p. The more search engines you use, the greater your exposure.

If you use the Google pay-per-click advertising campaign, we can operate the campaign for you so you have nothing to do at all or you can operate it yourself with no cost other than Google's click fees. If we operate it on your behalf, our fees are only £3 per week in addition to Google's pay-per-click fees. We also have an initial setting up fee. Connect with new customers looking for your products or services. No minimum monthly spending required and you can set a daily budget. The campaign uses search keywords that best match with your target audience. You choose your target cost per click starting as low as 4p. Instant switch on - switch off as needed. You will be billed monthly for Google's fees and 3 months in advance for our fees.

The question everyone asks but is the most difficult to answer! However, with new technology available, the days when websites always cost thousands of £££s have gone. The cost varies with the complexity of your website and a lot of the work is time based so there can never be a firm answer. The cost  can be considerably reduced if you can provide your own text for the website. Generally, with copy provided, we charge from £30 per page. Extras chargeable would include forms and other special controls and the minimum overall charge would be £100 for a website. Obviously, the more complex the website, the higher the cost. Domains and hosting would be charged separately but are not expensive.

If needed, we can construct a secure online credit card payment system for you with NO bank setup fees – and your money is usually available immediately! All you need is a regular bank current account.

If you need regular, ongoing website support, you may wish to consider our “monthly 5” contract  that allows up to 5 hours of work per month at a rate of £130 per month which equates to £26 per hour if all 5 hours are consumed. This would be an ongoing contract payable promptly every month – any missed months would cause the rate to revert to the ad hoc rateof £40 an hour. There would be no rollover of time except in exceptional circumstances.
